Art Network North East

Art Network North East (ANNE) is an advocacy and development organisation for the visual arts who work to support existing activity, effect change where it’s needed, and raise the profile of the North East region.

Part of the national Contemporary Visual Arts Network (CVAN) and previously known as CVAN North East, the organisation already produced and distributed quarterly printed art maps detailing events listings across Newcastle, Gateshead and Middlesbrough, but sought to create an online platform to expand its offering and build recognition of a distinct identity under its new guise as ANNE.

We worked with the team to design and build a bespoke WordPress website which compliments their existing visual language and helped to evolve it for screen application. The site structure incorporates full regional directories of events, organisations and artists viewable as ordered calendars or dynamic maps, a journal to showcase original commissioned writing and a section dedicated to professional opportunities for creative practitioners.
